Diego Rivera painting Madre E nino, (1934) tempera/Masonite with a Mexican region. I have to say I looked at many paintings of Diego Rivera and for some reason I couldn't take my eyes off this one. Something about it captured my attention. The painting reminded me that no love is greater than the love of a mother to a child. Mothers truly are the best things this earth has given us, they will always protect you like the little baby you once were to them, even when your 40 years old. I find it absolutely beautiful how the colors mixed, created this masterpiece! Even though the looks of sadness crosses the faces of these people, you can tell that the mother is loving and protecting her child. To me this painting can be very personal because my own mother did a lot for me and my protection, so maybe that's why I loved this painting from the moment I saw it. I would love to have this kind of painting hanging at my house someday, so when I have visitors they can see and capture the moments for themselves of a mom loving and protecting a child.
