The Movie "The Great Debaters" was one of the most outstanding movies I have ever seen. I would definitely give it two thumbs up and recommend it. "It makes you believe again in the power of movies to inspire (Pete Hammon, Maxim)." This movie has a lot of things that I admire; For example it has steadfast humanity, its literacy, its passionate belief in education, and its faith that history teaches invaluable lessons. This movie starts off with the Journey of Mr. professor Melvin, he's a debate team coach and with his power he made a little debate team from a small African-American College. They win enough debates that they end up debating against Harvard University. This movie is actually based on a true story, but in the reality they didn't go to Harvard University they ended up going to University of Southern California. My favorite actor was the Professor, which in reality is the forever famous Denzel Washington. This was the second film directed by Denzel Washington, which he won an Academy Award for.
